About the Laundryman The Laundry Man reports to the Head Steward and Catering Manager and is responsible for coordination, maintenance and running of the laundry in a proper manner; ensuring that personal clothing is properly cleaned/ironed and returned to the rightful owner; ensuring that work coveralls are properly cleaned and stored in an organized manner; ensuring that company property is properly cleaned/repaired and stored; ensuring that cleaning and maintenance of laundry is done in a proper and efficient manner; ensuring equipment is maintained and informs the Head Steward/Catering Manager of any deficiencies; assisting with storing provisions whenever required; assisting in any other catering duties when required; and ensuring work instructions issued by the Head steward or Catering Manager are adhered to; Requirements You MUST be a US Citizen or a permanent resident of the United States. Preferably 2 years previous experience in laundry; able to work as a team member; and you must have the ability to speak and understand basic English; · Compensation: Helix offers a competitive compensation and a complete benefits package.
