Key Duties and Responsibilities: |
||||
|
Ø |
Supervise all deck and crane operations on the installation in a safe and efficient manner. |
|||
|
|
||||
|
Principle Functions of the Position: |
||||
|
Ø |
Responsible for all onboard lifting and deck operations. |
|||
|
Ø |
Ensure the correct operation, inspection and maintenance of cranes, maintaining records of inspection and reporting any deficiencies to the Vessel Operations Superintendent. |
|||
|
Ø |
Organize and supervise deck work and maintenance, and ensure that planned deck work is carried out as instructed. |
|||
|
Ø |
Keep all deck equipment, tools, stores, and workshops in good order. |
|||
|
Ø |
Maintain an inventory of paints, ropes, tools, and maintenance equipment and accessories, reporting any deficiencies or requirements to the Vessel Operations Superintendent. |
|||
|
Ø |
Ensure that all marine related operations are executed within the parameters established by: |
|||
|
|
v Regulatory authorities, COMPANY Marine Operations Manual; v Requirements and provisions of the COMPANY safety and corporate management systems |
|||
|
Ø |
Maintain communication with other departments regarding work priorities and operational requirements so as to minimize delay. |
|||
|
Ø |
Ensure that all personnel in the deck crew carry out their work in a safe and responsible manner. |
|||
|
Ø |
Participate in the effective monitoring, audit, and review of management systems and procedures. |
|||
|
Ø |
Must be familiar with COMPANY HS&E policies and understand designated emergency response duties. |
|||
|
Ø |
Ensure that the FPSO Waste Management Plan is followed. |
|||
|
Ø |
Safeguard the welfare of himself and fellow crewmembers at all times, and to attend safety meetings when required. |
|||
|
|

Safety Critical Functions |

Participate in all emergency drills with duties as determined by the Station Bill and Emergency Response Manual. |

Experience Factors |
|||||

Ø |
Minimum 5 years offshore experience. |
||||

Minimum 2 years experience as an offshore crane operator. |
||||

Ø |
Previous FPSO experience. |
