Field Surveyor/Engineer/Technician Level II


Condition Analyzing Corp. (CAC) provides condition monitoring/vibration analysis/thermographic services to our clients domestically and abroad, with
particular emphasis on the marine/maritime industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Major responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
-  Collect machine vibration data on all ship and propulsion types:
  (oil tankers, cruises lines, military, MSC, MARAD, cargo ship, tug, itb/atb,   barge)(steam and gas turbine, diesel, diesel electric, azipod)
-  Perform infrared thermography (Thermographic Survey) on electrical panels.
-  Provide preliminary analysis on data collected to the appropriate client   personnel (Chief Engineer/Marine Superintendent/Port Engineer).
-  Submit data to home office/technical support personnel via Internet for subsequent review and comprehensive analysis in accordance with company
   timeliness standards.
-  Be prepared to answer questions from client personnel, regulators (ABS,    Lloyds, DNV, and Coast Guard) and/or CAC company analysts/engineers
   regarding survey results.
-  Arrange appropriate transportation to and from job locations in accordance  with company policy.
-  Light physical work in engine room and on deck machinery while at sea and dockside.

This salaried position involves domestic and international travel to and from
your home base. Relocation not necessary.

Salary range $40,000 to $60,000 US

Time flexibility and self-reliance, along with the ability to work
independently,
safely and communicate effectively are musts.

Maritime/marine experience and shipboard knowledge required.

The position relies heavily on a mechanical ability, mathematical and computer
aptitude.

Familiarity/experience with vibration, thermography, and condition monitoring
technology is a definite plus.

Knowledge of machine overhaul, alignment, balancing and planned maintenance/
fleet management software would be an asset.

The Company will provide all equipment, instruments, computers, cell phone,
software, Internet access and all necessary training and certification as
required.
